Blake has known most of his life that he would be working in the estate planning and business realm and based his schooling and work life accordingly. As an undergrad at BYU in the Marriott School of Management he studied Business Management and Finance before attending law school where he learned how to handle the financial side of trusts, businesses and estate plans. He then went on to graduate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University with his JD and a graduate degree in comparative law where although you don’t have a major in law school Blake’s was Trusts and estate planning.
Blake grew up with his father being an estate planning attorney and was always around the office and saw the results of proper planning through trusts, buy sell agreements and succession planning and the poor results from those that didn’t plan. He has also started multiple businesses outside of his trust and estates practice and sold one business, so he understands the needs of clients and the many different situations they may face.
Blake focuses primarily in the areas of estate planning, trusts, probate, business formation and business succession planning. He is the current managing partner at Trusted Estate Planning Attorneys and hopes to grow the practice to reach more people and help everyone understand the importance of a trust and estate planning and then help them implement their trust and estate plan.
He is currently a member of the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council, a member of the National Planned Giving Council, and a Board Member of the BYU Management Society Las Vegas Chapter.
He is the author of “You Can’t Take It With You, The Top 15 Estate Planning Questions Answered in Plain English” (get a copy here) and is a regular guest lecturer at colleges such as UNLV and BYU.
He has been married for 8 years and enjoys spending time with his wife and their two boys. He has a passion for golf, travel, entrepreneurship, and working out.

So, after graduating cum laude from UNLV’s Boyd School of Law, he pursued his LL.M. in taxation from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!).
